Noh Bo Camp Medical Supplies Trip Report

Date: Sunday, June 14, 2009, 12:27 AM

20090612:

Meet with Partners in Mae Sot (MS).

Informed by Kath and Chris, that since 20090610 they have not been able to get

supplies into Noh Bo.

Chris was stopped by Rangers at check point located at the hwy 105 and Noh Bo

turn off. Rangers had him turn back and return to MS.

Joey, Chris and Rad bought meds in MS and stored all meds at Partners.

Informed that SFA III members had donated 17,800b to the mission.

Rad’s contact called and informed us that we should not have a problem

getting into Noh Bo.

20090613:

Departed for Noh Bo with meds bought in MS. and Pattaya.

Passed through all check points into emergency refugee camp at Noh Bo.

Camp is located at the Watt in Noh Bo.High ground about 600 to 800 meters from river.

Met with Thai Army OIC . He was briefed on our mission and gave us free activity of the area.

Met with the only doctor in the area and exchanged information, contact numbers and requests.

He is the Thai government Dr. Mitch at the Noh Bo clinic.

There we no other medical people in the area. Also, no reps. from any NGO’s in the area.

Refuges were women and children, except for a few old men and one man in his thirties

that had his right leg amputated below the knee, a couple of weeks ago.

Returned to MS.

On June 27th I was informed that the day we left Noh Bo, that trauma cases came across

the river to the camp. Unknown how many and no one that had comm with us, got the word.
