| Chapter 3 has continued to work on reconstruction projects in the south of Thailand. We have built boats to get fishermen back to work, built schools and houses, and are providing water projects and working on a Boy Scout camp reconstruction. At the request of the Royal Thai Navy, Marc Duncan, with the support of Chapter 3, provided life guard training to Royal Thai Navy divers and Royal Thai Marine Police and Royal Thai Police Special Operations personnel. This program certified them in CPR and as lifeguards. After a lifetime of bachelorhood the other half of the Thailand twins “thais†the knot. Yes it true, SGM Philip F.D. Devlin [SF, ret.], age 60, weds the lovely Ms. Nongyao “Joy†Aimchan on Valentine’s Day 2005 in the province of Kanchana-buri, historical site of the infamous “Bridge on the River Kwaiâ€Â. After a traditional Thai wedding the attendees traveled to Bangkok for the reception which was held at the exclusive Polo Club. At the February meeting, SFA3 presented Warren Gerig with tokens of our appreciation for the hard work he has done with the Chapter. We are working on hosting a regional get together of the Pacific chapters of the Special Forces Association. After consideration of various localities, the members of the various chapters voted in favor of meeting in Thailand for the first regional get together. On the 20 th of March, a number of members of SFA3 attended the Thai Airborne Association meeting in Lopburi and took a tour of the Thai Special Forces museum. SFA3 members also took part in a water jump in Phuket in support of the Thai military.
